Non-verbal interactions and behaviors can cause anger, sadness and fear because of misunderstanding each other. Language, anxiety, prejudice and stereotypes are also barriers to intercultural communications. Language can be misunderstood by translation problems. Translation plays a role in enhancing communications between cultures.
